Register for a climbing clinic to take your skills to the next level! All clinics will be held at the Climbing Wall. Pre-registration is required, as space is limited.
Must be a current WELL Member with an activated membership to take climbing classes.

Our most beginner-friendly course! If you have always wanted to try out our rock wall but have some fear or hesitation, this is the class for you. Participants will go through a safety orientation, learn some basic movement and receive 1 on 1 instructor belays or coaching for this class. We can show you how to warm up and stretch, introduce you to other climbers and generally make sure that your first experience is a safe and welcoming one!
In the Belay Clinic, we will go over the fundamentals of top-rope climbing and belaying in our facility. Students will learn how to tie-in, how to belay and other helpful introductory tips to all that our climbing wall has to offer. Shoes, harness and belay device provided. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $5 per person.
In the Lead Clinic, students will learn the fundamentals of lead climbing and belaying. Staff will instruct and allow you to practice for the assessment during this clinic. Students will work through clipping, falling, catching falls and everything in between. If you are new to leading, taking multiple clinics is encouraged to build up your practice. Shoes, harness, belay device, rope and helmet are provided. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $5 per person. Must be top rope certified at The WELL.
In this Climbing Skills Workshop, students will learn more advanced bouldering techniques and training programs. We will go over different techniques and put them into practice each session. Staff will work with you on appropriately warming up, specific moves, specific workouts and power endurance training on our campus boards. Shoes and equipment provided. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $5 per person.
Learn the skills and knowledge necessary to take your climbing outdoors. This course will cover how to sport climb outside including: outdoor ethics, clipping draws, building anchors, cleaning anchors, rappelling, etc. Members must be lead certified or have taken at least one lead clinic prior.
